About

Tito Begnoni was born in Verona in 1991. His education has a strongly international and technical character: after a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering in Trento and a period of study in Spain, he specialised in Mechanical Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano, before completing his thesis research in England. He went on to a successful career in industry, but over time began to feel a deep sense of unfulfilment; an essential, vital part of himself struggled to find a voice.
Thus began an inner search through theatre, painting and writing, seeking a way into a more creative and personal sphere. The true illumination, however, came in Rome, in the halls of the Galleria Borghese. Before the energy of Bernini's Apollo and Daphne, and inspired by Ovid's Metamorphoses, Tito understood that his vocation had always been within reach. He sensed that bookcases were the perfect synthesis of his search: structures uniting the calculation and rigour of the engineer with the soul, culture and expressiveness of the artist. He left his previous career to devote himself to this project, giving life to Itaca, his first bookcase. A work that is not merely design, but the end of a search and the beginning of his personal nostos.
